About

Colin Oh was born in New York and grew up in Princeton, New Jersey. He has been surrounded by art since birth, his mother being a trained painter and his father being a still photographer.

Colin graduated from Drexel University in 2008 and moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career as a Director of Photography. He is an alumnus of the prestigious American Film Institute Conservatory with a M.F.A in Cinematography. In 2013, he was chosen to be a Cinematographer for Project Involve, a renowned diversity fellowship put forth by Film Independent. In 2022, Colin was chosen by a committee of ASC members to participate as an ASC Vision Mentee for the 2022-2023 year.

One of his latest feature films, Curtis, won the Audience award at the Atlanta Film Festival and the Jury Award at the American Black Film Festival. It is being distributed by 1091 Pictures.

Colin's work has also been featured on MTV, Huffington Post, Vogue, Milk, and Nylon.

A true believer that the next project is his greatest, Colin is always looking towards the horizon for unique and interesting stories to tell.
